Strata Solar earns Green Plus Certification!
Congratulations to Strata Solar for earning full Green Plus Certification! The solar panel manufacture based in Chapel Hill, NC, joins over 75 businesses around the country to earn Certification.
A member of the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, Strata Solar joined Green Plus through a 2012 scholarship provided by the Chamber. Among that class of scholarship recipients, Strata Solar is now the third organization to receive Certification.
“Our Green Plus Certification is a badge we wear proudly at Strata Solar. As an organization, we spend every hour working hard to increase our nation’s renewable energy portfolio, and our Green Plus Certification demonstrates that we live and breathe this philosophy – both in the field and in our workplace,” says Cathy Wilhelm, co-founder and Chief Administrative Officer of Strata Solar.
Strata Solar, which builds and installs solar panels, joined Green Plus because–as an organization that promotes sustainability to its customers–it felt it had an obligation to make its own business practices sustainable. Wilhelm says they talk about it as much as they can.
“It’s one of the first things we mention to any new client, it’s a truly aspirational accreditation that we are particularly proud of!”
