Students 'Flip the Switch' at Rock Hill Schools
Strata had the pleasure of sharing welcoming remarks at the “switch ceremony” last week at Rock Hill Schools in South Carolina. An assembly of students, faculty and representatives from Duke Energy and York County Chamber of Commerce gathered at Independence Elementary as the rooftop solar system was 'switched' on to start generating power and saving on energy costs for the school.
This is just one example of how we're supporting the communities we serve through education. School districts across the country are faced with lots of decisions to make their budgets stretch, and adding solar to reduce their operating expenses is just one way they can make solar work for the good of the district.
